Frequently Asked Questions
  • Why don’t you have a storefront (Yet)?

We believe God calls us to be wise stewards of the blessings He provides. That’s why we’ve chosen to stay 100% online—for now—so we can grow intentionally without passing unnecessary costs on to you.

By operating without a storefront at this stage, we’re able to:

    • ✅ Deliver premium, grass-fed, nutrient-dense Wagyu beef directly to your door

    • ✅ Keep our pricing stable and consistent, regardless of the economy

    • ✅ Avoid overhead that would force price increases or compromise quality

Our goal is to open a storefront in the future, but only when it aligns with our mission and allows us to continue serving you with integrity. Until then, we’re proud to bring the ranch to your doorstep—fresh, affordable, and full of flavor.

  • Why Choose Bulk?

At Texas Stampede Meat, we offer premium bulk beef options to help you stock your freezer with high-quality, Texas-raised, chemical free beef. Choose from:

    • 🐃 Quarter Cow – $3,300 for 100 lbs ($33/lb)
    • 🐮 Half Cow –       $5,600 for 200 lbs ($28/lb)
    • 🐄 Whole Cow –    $9,200 for 400 lbs ($23/lb)

The more you buy, the more you save—literally! Bigger bundles come with a lower price per pound, which means more juicy Ribeyes, Filets, and T-Bones for your buck.  Buying in bulk means you get exceptional value on top-tier cuts —all for a fraction of what you’d pay at the store. It’s a cost-effective way to fill your freezer, feed your family, and enjoy peace of mind knowing your meat is clean, local, and delicious.

Buying in bulk gives you unbeatable value, fewer trips to the store, and a freezer full of clean, local, grass-fed beef you can count on. Premium meat, smart savings, Texas-style.

Fewer grocery trips, better meat, bigger savings. What’s not to love?

  • How much space is needed to store bulk beef?

    Beef Amount 🥩
    Freezer Size Needed
    100 lbs🥩4–5 cu. ft.
    200 lbs 🥩8–10 cu. ft.
    400 lbs🥩16–18 cu. ft.

    Tips

    • Always leave 1–2 cu. ft. of headroom for air circulation.

    • Use labels and bins to organize cuts.

    • For long-term storage, keep beef at 0°F (-18°C) or below.

  • How long will the beef last in the freezer?

When vacuum-sealed, kept at 0°F, and handled properly, high-quality beef like Wagyu can last up to a year or more in the freezer with consistent taste and texture.  Because bulk beef requires more space, we highly recommend storing in a deep freezer.

    Freezer TypeLongevity Notes
Chest FreezerStays colder, fewer temp swings — ideal
Upright FreezerEasier access, but opens more often
Fridge Freezer ComboShorter lifespan due to temp shifts

PERSONAL NOTE:  I use upright freezers for easier access and better organization.

  • Why do you only sell Wagyu?

We believe our customers deserve the best—so the best is what we provide.

Your health is our top priority.  That’s why we focus exclusively on grass-fed, grain finished, chemical-free Wagyu beef: the highest quality beef you can get. Our goal is simple—deliver the highest quality, most tender, flavorful, natural, and nutrient-dense beef available.

We’re about quality, integrity, and taste you can feel good about. Our Wagyu delivers everything beef should be—and nothing it shouldn’t.

  • Why grain finished instead of grass finished?

Grass-fed Wagyu offers a leaner profile and a rich, complex flavor that highlights the true essence of beef. Grain-finishing adds just the right amount of fat, allowing us to dry-age the beef longer—intensifying its bold flavor and tenderness. The result is a perfect balance of clean nutrition and luxurious flavor.

    Bottom Line:

Grain-finishing doesn’t mean lower quality or less healthy—it means elevated flavor. When done right (like we do it), it creates a luxurious beef experience that honors the Wagyu breed and satisfies serious meat lovers.

  • What are the health benefits of grass-fed, chemical-free Wagyu?

    🥩1. Rich in Healthy Fats

    • Higher Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids: Supports heart and brain health.

    • More Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA): A type of healthy fat linked to reduced inflammation and better metabolism.

    • Better fat quality: The intramuscular fat in Wagyu is primarily monounsaturated fat (MUFA), which is more heart-friendly than saturated fat.

🥩2. Free from Hormones and Antibiotics

    • No synthetic chemicals: Reduces exposure to endocrine-disrupting substances found in some conventional meats.

    • Lower risk of antibiotic resistance: Supports gut health and immune system balance.

    🥩3. Nutrient-Dense Profile

    • Excellent source of:

      • Vitamin B12 & B6 – For energy and brain function

      • Zinc – For immune health

      • Iron (heme iron) – Easily absorbed, supports oxygen transport in blood

      • Selenium – A powerful antioxidant

🥩4. Fewer Toxins Stored in Fat

    • Grass-fed cattle eating a natural diet store fewer toxins in fat tissue, since they're not exposed to chemical feeds, synthetic dewormers, or pesticides.

    🥩5. More Antioxidants

    • Grass-fed Wagyu contains higher levels of Vitamin E, glutathione, and beta-carotene, all of which combat oxidative stress and inflammation.

  • Where are the Wagyu cattle raised?

We proudly source our Wagyu cattle exclusively from ranches right here in Texas—specifically in the greater Houston area.

By working directly with local ranchers, we ensure that every animal is:

    • Raised humanely on open pastures

    • 100% hormone- and antibiotic-free

    • Fed a natural, forage-rich diet

    • Finished with care to enhance marbling and flavor

We maintain a hands-on relationship with our ranching partners, so we can guarantee full traceability, ethical practices, and the premium quality our customers expect.

This local, Texas-raised approach allows us to deliver Wagyu beef that’s not only rich in flavor and nutrition—but also deeply rooted in our community.

  • How should I cook grass-fed, grain finished Wagyu?

Cooking grass-fed, grain-finished Wagyu is all about preserving its incredible marbling and rich flavor. Because this beef is more tender and flavorful than typical cuts, you don’t need to overdo it—simple and careful is best.

🥩 1. Let It Come to Room Temperature

    • Remove from the fridge 30–45 minutes before cooking

    • This helps the beef cook evenly and retain its juiciness

🧂 2. Keep It Simple: Season Lightly

    • Wagyu shines with just salt and pepper

    • Avoid heavy marinades—let the beef’s natural flavor lead

🍳 3. Use High Heat, Short Time

    • Cast iron or stainless steel pans are ideal

    • Sear 1.5–2 minutes per side for steaks 1–1.5” thick

    • Internal temp guide:

      • Rare: 120–125°F

      • Medium-Rare: 130–135°F (ideal for Wagyu)

      • Medium: 140–145°F

🔥 Pro Tip: For thicker cuts, use the reverse-sear method: oven at 225°F until ~115°F internally, then sear hot to finish.

    ⏱️ 4. Rest Before Slicing

    • Let the steak rest 5–10 minutes after cooking

    • This allows juices to redistribute for maximum tenderness

🔪 5. Slice Against the Grain

    • For roasts, fajitas, or larger cuts—always slice against the muscle fibers to keep the bite tender

    ✅ Final Tips:

    • No need for butter—the Wagyu fat renders into the pan naturally (unless you just love butter :) )

    • Don’t overcook! The premium fat will render too quickly and lose its signature richness past medium
