Frequently Asked questions

  • What are the benefits of grass fed beef?

Studies have shown grass fed beef has higher levels of vitamins A, D, E, K, B1 (Thiamin), B2 (Riboflavin) and Omaga-3 compared to fully grain fed beef. Because the animals are allowed to feed from natural resources on several acres, it provides natural nutrients directly from natural resources. As a result, the consumer is provided with a leaner, healthier, better quality meat. Our animals are not injected with antibiotics or chemicals so you get a clean, vitamin nutrient meat to help you and your family avoid putting unnecessary chemicals in your body through meat. We vacuum seal our meat for freshness when processed which prevents oxygen from entering and spoiling the meat and extending the shelf life significantly compared to store bought meat. • What is the process after I place my deposit?

After your deposit is successfully processed, we will allow the cow to finish grazing to get to the desired weight for best result in total pounds of beef. This process can take up to two weeks. Once the cow is finished, it is taken to the processor to prepare for butchering. This process requires the butcher to allow the cow to drain before being cut and can take up to three weeks. Once the cow has fully drained, it is processed, cut, and packaged to be delivered to you at no charge within 200 miles of the Houston, TX area or shipped directly to your door.

  • How long does bulk beef last?

Great question! This can be viewed from the perspective of feeding a family or overall length of time in the freezer.

The length of time it takes to feed a family has several factors that may impact the amount of time it takes for a family to eat all the beef purchased when buying bulk. Factors include: how many family members, how often does your family consume beef, how much does one family consume during meals, etc. In general, bulk beef can last at minimum, a year. However, if you don't consume beef every day for every meal, it could last several years.

In regards to how long will it last in the freezer, the short answer is YEARS! Because we vacuum seal the meat at its peak freshness, you can pull beef out of the freezer two years later and it will taste just as fresh as the first day it was delivered to your doorstep.

  • What bulk options are available?

Bulk beef can be purchased as a whole, half or quarter cow. Buying in bulk provides multiple benefits for fitness enthusiasts, busy families or those concerned with overall health. Knowing you have a stockpile of leaner, healthier, better quality beef without all the chemicals injected in to store bought beef, you will be more conscious about pulling meat from your freezer versus buying it from the store.
